Our turn…

The day started off ok, we fitted in a walk around New Hutton and a bit in the garden, before the rain began.
Rob made a curry and it was brewing nicely in the oven when ‘click’ all the power went off.
We had a cup of tea, and waited….
Then we cooked some rice on the remaining Aga heat, and had our delicious curry by candlelight, very atmospheric.
I’ve just had an actual phone call from ENW saying sorry there’s a pole down, and it will be 4pm tomorrow probably.
So we have gone to bed!
