2025 Saturday — A Day of Crafting

Once before I had been to an afternoon gathering of crafting with the gals of Morro Bay Pres Church, so I knew this was going to be good, but it was better than that.

On a cold almost rainy afternoon, with three choices of steaming hot soup for lunch and cookies for dessert, we finished lunch and started our crafting warm and full at five tables where a variety of craft-making options were offered.

We could learn how to make beaded bracelets or paint watercolor Valentine greeting cards or turn sea glass into artful images or paint rocks into decorations or make flat paper into heart ornaments. All of these craft items now are gifts to give. But the biggest gift today for me was T I M E !!! The gals who brought all the crafting supplies, amazing variety of papers, paints, beads, jewels, rocks, etc. gave the time to gather all that and then to lead us thru how to turn a piece of flat paper into a heart shaped ornament; a plain rock into a piece of art; scraps of sea glass into creative images; beads, jewels, and shiny things into bracelets; plain paper into painted images.

And the TIME to spend with other like-minded females some of us not sure if we could create anything, let alone something we might give to another. And as well as TIME -- the laughter, the conversation, the camaraderie . . . and to know that Jesus was among us. He told us "where two or more are gathered together in my name. . . " Matthew 18:20. Jesus gave me all these friends. He was there today too. He loves creating.

Do you know Jesus? He's got time for you. This wasn't just a good afternoon, it was a fabulous afternoon.

From California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
