Venturing Out

Finally the deep freeze came to an end and it was actually pleasant to be outside for a change. Clear skies gave way to clouds later in the day when I went out for a shot or three.

Finding some confidence from the many ice fishermen with quad bikes and snowmobiles, I ventured out onto the ice. I didn't go far, only to get close to this patch of ice to fill my foreground with a big shape. It was then the wind picked up and trails of snow blew across the ice. I thought it would be more dramatic and echo the clouds somewhat, but, although visible, they get a bit lost.
