BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

Thank you for letting me celebrate your day
We had a blast every step of the way
I gave you some flowers, it’s the least I could do
I’d do anything I could to stop you feeling blue

I sat on the floor at the campervan door
A robin appeared and stood at my feet
I think it was looking for something to eat
I sometimes wonder if this is a sign
Of something much bigger and not so benign

After a wee chat, hop on aboard
Let’s head on up north and see what’s in store
By the time we hit Callendar, I was starting to nod
So we pulled the van over at the side of the loch

A coffee and KitKat seemed to get me awake
Had a chat to wild swimmers and some pictures I take
It was very cold, only two degrees
I’d take my hat off but my head would freeze

Okay, take us north my trusty old van
Another stop at the Ogle for pics and some scran
Next stop the Green Welly for a nosey around
Got a bottle of something strong for a really good friend

Up through the snow gates and into the hills
Please keep us safe if it be your will
We just had to keep stopping, the scenery was so good
The Leica working hard to capture the mood

We pulled into the campsite in the village, Invercoe
There was no one about so we just had to go
Over to Crafts for a coffee and snack
What a beautiful place, I think we’ll be back

I can’t think on a better place to take my dear Mo
Than the beautiful snow capped mountains in the heart of Glencoe
