A wander in the paddocks around the house meant a few treasures were found. Not the Australasian Grebes we went looking for in the farm dam, unfortunately.
The Pycnoporus sanguineus is one I see often on the farm, always on dead or fallen branches. The orange fades to various shades of orange, pink, salmon and peach as it ages.
