Mass of Remembrance

Tonight we attended the A Souls Mass of Remembrance.  One of the deceased who was honored was the brother of our good friends.  Each of the foreground candles is for one of the souls who's funeral was celebrated in the church over the past year.  As their name is read during the prayers of the faithful, a loved one (or surrogate) carries the candle to a memorial in the front of the church that will remain there for the month of November as we remember them in prayer.
