Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . to seek help

After another long, cold, dark night, we decided this morning that we had been stoic for long enough - and we phoned 105, the SPNetworks Power Cut Helpline.

Will spoke to a very nice woman, who took all the details of our plight and confirmed that we were indeed in one of the few remaining postcodes where power had not yet been restored.  She was very sympathetic - and told us what compensation we were entitled to - and how we should proceed to improve things.

We're now booked into a lovely hotel/pub just down the road in Gatehouse of Fleet - with the prospect of a hot meal and light to see by.  The latest estimate of everything up and running is midnight today.   Not too convinced this will be the case but actually, not too bothered if it isn't . . . . . .!
