A meandering walk

I walked to and from the local post office this morning - a meandering sort of walk to make it a bit longer. This photo is of a path that's close to home. At the end of the path, as I was emerging onto the pavement of the main road, a chap was about to enter the park and asked me how muddy it is. I told him that the path I'd used was fine. He said, "Thankyou, young lady," which made me smile as I'm 74!
Still bitter cold out due to the wind.
This afternoon e went to B&Q and I got the tree I wanted. They have a lot of trees in pots on sale and I got a 7ft Amanagowa cherry for £19.50 so I was made up. We had a beautiful one years ago and grew it from quite small to very large but we had to get rid of it when we were having some revamps as it was in the way ie blocking the new driveway. I hated to lose it as it was beautiful and the scent was amazing. I might plant this one in the side garden, in one of the planters which will mean moving a shrub - we'll see - no rush to plant it out as it's in a pot and I can put it in a bigger one till I decide where to place it.
It's in the garage till tomorrow though because it's blustery.
I should have taken a photo of it although it's not very exciting without blossom!
We've been watching the commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, 80 years ago. Very moving.
