Soggy doggie again
Yesterday it rained all day and every time I went out I turned into a 'soggy doggie'. Last night there was thunder and lightening and really strong winds. We could hear slates rattling around on our roof and Ann was convinced half of them would have fallen off by the morning. Fortunately they hadn't. Phew!
Managed to do my morning walk without getting wet, but OMG, wasn't it windy?! Just look at my ears.
Ann went to work, but when she came home it was still really windy and it was also chucking it down with rain. so on her 10 min walk home she got soaked.
She changed out of her uniform, put on some dry clothes and then she popped me into the car and said, 'Trixie, we need to go and drop the car off at the garage because it's getting an MOT first thing in the morning.'
My afternoon walk was walking back from the garage. You wouldn't believe how wet we both got. And the trouble with our house is..................... We have absolutely nowhere to dry wet clothes. It's lovely in the summer when we can dry things outside, but in the winter it's a nightmare. Ann's trousers and my towel are on a drying pulley in our kitchen, and she's put her soaking wet coat over the heated towel rail in the bathroom. It's not ideal but what else can we do?
The wind is still howling and the rain is still falling, but we're not going out again until it's time for my bedtime wee?!!!
