A Day to Reflect

On the spur of the moment, I decided to take myself off to Cromer late afternoon, hoping that there might be a dramatic sunset to photograph.  Unfortunately there wasn't but nevertheless I spent a happy hour wandering about with my camera.  As dusk was settling over the pier, the lights were switched on and my main blip shows the combination of the fading sky and the attractive lamps.

I've also added an extra of a black-headed gull, who is beginning to grow some darker head feathers after spending the previous few months with just a black eye spot as a clue to his identity.

I had watched some of the footage of the Holocaust Memorial Commemorations today and it struck me, quite forcibly, how very fortunate I am to be able to live in freedom.  However, with what seems an ever increasing level of hate in the world, it's vital that events like those remembered today are never ever forgotten.
