Wemyss Bay Station
26 miles west of Glasgow on the electrified Scotrail line this award winning station opened in 1865 then was remodelled in 1905 by James Miller for the Caledonian Railway. The walkway seen in the top right postcard curves down to the pier on the Firth of Clyde where ferries operated by Calmac serve Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. These cards were a gift from a family friend who runs the excellent station bookshop and museum for the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station
