Big Garden Birdwatch

Each January the RSPB run a garden bird count. I had it in my head that it was Saturday, Sunday & Monday so I spent an hour this morning scanning the garden for birds but there were non to be seen. I got very excited when a leaf blew across the lawn. In the whole hour I only saw one robin, yet 50ft away over the fence in the field were crows & rooks galore & a skylark landed for a few minutes (it’s magnified greatly on the back of my camera) but unless they land in the garden you can’t count them.
I logged onto the RSPB site to record my sighting of one robin to find the count was Friday, Saturday & Sunday - doh!
