Water, Water Everywhere

Oh dear! Just as I was really enjoying a first blipmeet with JanetH, my husband discovered that a water main had burst right outside our house and the flood was quickly heading up our new path towards the house!

Action stations, as he used bags of compost in lieu of sandbags to divert the flow and I filled up every possible jug, pan and bucket with water in case the water supply is turned off later tonight. The emergency division of the water board was notified about 2 hours ago, but there's no sign of anyone yet. Just as well there's not a water shortage in our part of the country:-)

All being well, JanetH and I plan a sightseeing trip tomorrow, but we may have to go unwashed if the water is turned off in the night!! Watch this space!
