Dreich

We seem to have been spared the worst of the effects of the storm, Herminia. It stayed dry ish this morning when I met my friend Rosie and her dog Marcie for a walk at Vogrie. There were quite a few damaged trees and there were several workmen tidying up.

The barrier to the car park is often not in operation but it was today and as the mobile signal is slightly poor, payments for the parking are often better in cash. If only I’d taken actual money! After holding up the exit if several cars as I kept trying to use my phone to pay, a lovely gentleman from 3 cars back offered to use his parking pass to let me out. Phew!

I spent the afternoon working on yet another blanket for my friends dog this time and making a large pot of mince and vegetables. The portion we had for dinner with mashed potato and dumplings was yummy and I’ve got 5 tubs filled and now in the freezer.
