He’s home

The patient is home. He got the ok at 11:30 this morning but didn’t get discharged until 4, so I did a full day’s work from home in the end.

Managed not to crash the wheelchair to push him to the car, including getting in and out of the lift.

He got in and out of the car more easily than I expected but just the short walk from the car to the living room was exhausting. It’s definitely going to be a slow process.

For somebody who hates taking tablets, he’s come home with quite a stash.

Three positives:
1) good to have Stuart home
2) grateful for all the lovely messages we have had from family and friends
3) although Barney was very excited to see his dad, he has been good and not jumped up
