Back on!

Can't describe how happy we are not to have to face a 4th and 5th night without power. A generator was brought in mid-afternoon and by late afternoon they'd also fixed the problem and properly connected us. 

I quickly got everything charging, had a shower (it was soooooo good!), got the washing machine, dishwasher, hot water and heating etc on and tried to catch up with some online stuff now the WiFi is back. Amazingly we've only lost the top 3 shelves in our freezer - the bready/veggie type stuff - all the meats/expensive bits in the lower half of it look to be ok. 

A huge relief all round. 
Oh and more snow this afternoon too - it made me laugh and also quite nervous as I'd posted a similar pic on social media on Saturday morning saying 'yay, our power is back and we have snow' (or words to that effect) before it all went off again. Anyway, it's been a few hours now so I think we should be ok now!
