My Winter Job

I am at it again. Apple tree #2, a big one. This is my second day pruning on it. I hoped to finish it today, but I gave out with a bit to go. It is physically taxing work, on the ground and on ladders. Up until about three years ago, I climbed these trees to get access to that which needed trimming, but those days are over. Those within earshot would be shocked by the salty language coming after a whiplashed branch across the face. I have two more large apple trees, two pear trees (one large, one small), grapes, and twelve blueberry bushes to go. My goal/wish is to have them done before the wet weather arrives on Friday. Fat chance, but I will get after it tomorrow. For tonight, for this sore, tired old body, one full gummy.
