HAVEN'T CHANGED MUCH...BIGGER MAYBE

I had a fun hour at the high school midday today.  The yearbook advisor asked if I'd photograph the senior class in the same way I photographed them as 8th grade students......a photo comparison from 8th grade until the end of their high school career.  Yes Martha..this is the whole Senior Class.  We are a small rural school but, nevertheless, rank 6th best in the whole State of Wisconsin.  We are a jewel in the rough.

I've known many of these young ladies and gentlemen since they were in diapers.  Indeed, I had a lot of their parents as students shortly after the Earth's crust cooled.  This is a very good senior class...great personality and good students.  A high school class seems to take on the personality of the individual member(s) they choose as their leader(s).  If that individual is sports minded, pays attention in class and is generally responsible the whole class tends to take on that personality as well.  If the class chooses a leaker as its leader, the whole class tends to be leakers.  There has to be a Ph.D. thesis in psychology in there somewhere.

In any case, this class is a good one and has some outstanding athletes. Check the first guy in the second row on the left.  I've been a part of this system for 58 years and, in my opinion, he's the best all-around natural athlete who has ever gone through our school system.  He's top notch in every sport, and top notch in the classroom as well. He can do just about anything well.  I had both of his parents as students a few years ago.

This was a fun gig for me.  The class followed my directions perfectly and made it a pleasure for me.  It doesn't always work out that way.  My apologies for the blown out facial highlights and shadows. The guy who runs the light board wasn't there and you have to be an electrician to run it.  Just a bit too bright.
