Tiny Tuesday

Thanks Lois for hosting. The theme is “All the Same”. I find it fascinating that flowers can come up and look all the same. A quick phone shot as it’s too hot to linger outside.

This morning I went up to Miss Traill’s House and Garden (National Trust). I’m not up to gardening so watered the potplants by dunking them in a large tub of water. When I had finished our cleaner took her shoes off and stepped into the water (which was pretty dirty after all the plants). We understood why as it was getting too hot by that time.

I then went indoors and helped the collections officer pack away a display of fine embroidery and lace. They store them in oven bags which they say is the best method for small items. Then we put out a collection of old postcards which was interesting as we were trying to decipher what the messages were..  One was from Southend and it looks like they wrote Armoury if that makes any sense….anyone know Southend? 

This afternoon I visited Lee my neighbour. She mostly sits in a chair all day so welcomes company. I haven’t seen her for ages as I had that awful cough and if she caught it, it would probably kill her.
