Went on holiday to Hokkaido with pickle, catching up now!

This is the Shiretoko peninsula, at the NE tip of Hokkaido. It's the most southerly place in the Northern hemisphere to get pack ice in winter, and chocabloc with bears, whales, eagles and volcanic springs. This is the 5 lakes area, and the boardwalk is to keep you safe from bears, although we didn't see any :( Went for a dip in a hot river after climbing up some waterfalls too.
