Coffee in Leeds
Not at this rather stylish van in the Victoria Arcade but a freebie in M&S with a cheese scone!
No Pilates today so I was hoping that an item I’d ordered from Seasalt to collect in Leeds would be here so we could go in to collect it. The email confirming delivery had arrived when I looked at my phone this morning so off we went.
Damp and dreary but not bad for a city visit. As we were leaving the station someone offered us some ‘ginger shots’. Being naturally suspicious we declined but when we got into the Trinity Centre there was a van on the concourse offering the same. Ginger root and Hot Mango. Not tried them yet but they are supposed to give your immune system a boost in the mornings.
We collected the parcel and then went into John Lewis for a replacement bathroom scale. Ours packed up before Christmas and wasn’t revived by new batteries. It will be interesting to see if they weigh any more advantageously than the last ones!
I took the blip as we left the arcade as he wasn’t open fir business when we entered and the usually very scenic arcade was full of scaffold so not very blip worthy. My first thought was they were cleaning the decorative glass ceiling but there seemed to be an awful lot of scaffold for that.
The Skipton train was cancelled for our return journey so we got one to Carlisle that stopped in Bingley. Tempting to think about staying on for that lovely scenic route to Carlisle. But it did connect well to the bus home so that was fine.
