Tidal Tracing

I was so concerned about the rain early this morning that I quite forgot about the NE wind. Needless to say the rain petered out long before we set our neoprened  feet on the beach at 8am but the wind made for a boisterous sea with some waves packing quite a punch. There were 8 of us foolhardy BlueTits in the water but only one of us managed to swim a yard or two. The rest of us jumped and hollered, bracing  ourselves against the waves that were constantly breaking on shore. It was fun and scary at the same time.
I have included a blip of the tidal tracing of coal dust from a churned up sea.

With a Golden Ticket, valid for 6 months, for half price glasses at Specsavers, I finally bit the bullet and went to the local shop to chose a new pair of specs. Having just watched Prue Leith (the Bake Off Presenter) on TV at lunch time , I felt emboldened enough to choose slightly funky red specs. Once they have my prescription lenses fitted  they may well figure on these pages.  Sometimes one has to step out from one’s usual comfort zone just a little.
