Precious Times
Little Man is becoming braver with using his words. He's does parrot my words back at me a lot but is also saying things that are legible, and not just the random word, but four or five word sentences. These sentences don't happen all the time, but it's a big step for him. One of his favourite words at the moment is "help". On the whole he understands what it means, but occasionally, he'll start yelling it, for me to discover that he doesn't actually need help.
We had nursery this morning, and I was able to get the kitchen sorted out. Our kitchen is pretty decent, size wise but there isn't an awful lot of storage space, and these are predominantly in Little Man's reach. So I've had to find new homes for a few items that I don't want Little Man playing with (cleaning products, etc). I also don't have a lot of counter space so it quickly become cluttered if I'm not careful.
I collected Little Man. We spent the afternoon hanging out at home. That's when I took this photo. Little Man does enjoy me sitting near him from time to time, whilst he's playing. We had an early dinner, spoke to my parents, Little Man's grandfather Opa¹ and Grandmother Jajja, and then Little Man went to bed. I'm just waiting for him to fall asleep before I put a film on.
¹Dutch. My dad's native language.
²Luganda. One of the Ugandan tribal languages, where both my mum and I spent our childhoods. My parents returned to Uganda in 1991 and only left in 2012 (they went back last year).
