Infant School
Pickering has separate infant and junior schools. This is the oldest of the school buildings. My sons went to Thornton Dale Primary as it was combined and I didn’t have to negotiate delivering them to different sites or deal with two schools. There was also just one class per year whereas Pickering had two and a half per year. They enjoyed their time at Primary and particularly their headteacher who was noted for his Midget Gem sweets, piano playing and sense of fun.
