‘Golden Lotus’ Foot in Vegetable Form…

… It’s horseradish. It made some very nice sauce.
All vegetables are wonderfully unique in flavour, but I do wonder about the mind of the person who first thought ‘ah, now what two things does this white carrot taste of?’

What amusement when we all adopted horseradish as a perfect name.

No doubt tickling themselves further by announcing that this vegetable shall never be part of a mere sauce, ‘it shall henceforth lend itself only to a dish of tongue-twisting ‘relish’.’
How they laughed.
