Bob Dylan sang 'I've been down at the bottom of a whirlpool of lies'.

Lies, fantasies, deliberate fabrication and lying by omission have cost me dearly over the last few years and it's been a long road back. But for an innocent joke made in front of me I may never have realised the extent of it.

This appeared on my feed, and I've been thinking about it ever since. 

I'm not sure I agree with the second part of this - isn't it better to know where you stand in order to make your own informed decision on your life?
