Hawea River

The girls went for a good walk this morning from Camphill Rd out to Hawea along the river. It was an overcast day - threatening rain that didn't eventuate.

Great walk for the dogs - lots of different sights and smells.

A kayaking wave park was constructed on the river last year - the weir creates beautiful smooth water on one side and white water down below. Can't really capture it on an iPhone, but you get the idea, hopefully. This guy had the whole wave to himself and was having a lot of fun.
