From the top of Maungawhau

It is three or four months since I last went to the top of Maungawhau. Today there was so much cloud about, I thought that the most likely place where I would see any sort of a sunrise was up high, and off I went.

The thick cloud bank on the horizon meant that the best effects from the rising sun were seen higher in the sky. I discussed the choice between this picture and an earlier shot, showing Rangitoto Island, the Waitemata Harbour, and much less colour in the sky.

I decided it was time to have a cloud shot. This is my Saturday Sunrise for this week.

Off to Melbourne tomorrow morning on the 0820 flight. Meeting all day Monday, and back again midnight Monday.
