Warm Enough...

..to go back down to the lake for a walk along the icy shore. "Warm" is relatively speaking of course, but the sun was out - struggling to shine through a bit of a haze - but better than not at all!

The walking was iffy, but I had my poles minus their rubber tips so I felt safe. There were few people around, but as I meandered along taking lots of time to stop and take photos, I noticed a young woman ( extra) doing the same, but trying hard to not infringe on my privacy.

When we got further down the shore to where the swans hang out, there were so many photo-ops of Swans in Ice that tiptoeing around each other became nigh onto impossible without acknowledging each other and saying hello....and so ensued an interesting conversation

What a lovely encounter.. A woman after my own heart, who loves to dawdle and poke about looking for photo-ops and when doing so, drives everyone around her crazy... heh heh.. Well I could relate to that! For me, the issue used to arise in my travel days when not every traveling companion was as photo-obsessed as I was.

She said that the only private time she can grab to pursue her photography and putter about like this, is when her small children are in school; family outings with camera do not work well for her! For me, retired and living alone, getting away by myself is easy; for her it takes more effort. But there we were, both grateful to have private time to really soak up the beauty of that fabulous place. Oh yes and get some good pix!

I do hope our meandering paths will cross again.....
