I am so full of sympathy for OpenAI today. Imagine, that incredibly unethical Chinese AI DeepSeek m ay have trained itself on OpenAI's "intellectual property"... lol. Question: on whose IP was OpenAI trained...? If US politics hadn't already killed irony that would have done it too.

Perhaps it is that, and not Trump's re-election, that persuaded the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists to move the hands of the Doomsday Clock one second closer to midnight. After all, they didn't move it last year, despite Ukraine and Gaza and all the rest... the only new factor would seem to be Trump. 

Or it was my Beatles Birthday... thank you for all your kind wishes, by the way. Today Sheol and Cathy came up and took me out for lunch, which was delicious, while the builder, plumbers and electrician continued to make noisy improvements to the shower room. Nearly done now, and pretty as a peacock...
