Rocks in mist
Grey seems to be the colour of the week. Rain in the morning and mist in the afternoon. Oh well, I had things to do indoors in the morning, learning to play the new guitar for instance. It's interesting to feel like a beginner again, the relation between the strings are totally different which means it will be a learning process to explore where chords and melody notes are.
It will be a while before I'll bring it in front of an audience, if ever, but that's not important, this instrument is mainly for my own joy.
It felt nice to do a brisk walk again today after a whole day of sitting down yesterday. My walk follows mainly the same route and usually I pass these two impressive grave-monuments from about 400 A.D, when my island was controlled by a bunch of local chiefs, each controlling a small area. Some evidence shows that the chief in this area might have been one of the more powerful on the island, I live close to where the main hall was. Today only the grave monuments remains. Nobody knows who or what these rocks represents, but someone has had a hard time getting them in place. The right one is 175x80x110 cm and it's granit so I estimate it to weigh around 2,5 tons, correct me if I'm wrong, my math isn't that good. Anyway, placing them has been hard work, however they did it.
