Arctic Tern

My friend, Marg, is staying with me for a few days. We are prepping for the BSAC National Instructor exam together and our plan today was to take my RIB, Go Forth, out for a spin to look for some wreck sites. However, Go Forth wasn't well - her gears were stuck - so we took her to the boat doctor this afternoon and he fixed her!

When we got home, we went to the Scottish Seabird Centre here in North Berwick to swot up on our sea birds. The picture is of a sculpture of an Arctic Tern which stands outside the centre.

Fascinating Fact - Arctic Terns fly further than the distance between the earth and the moon in their lifetime!!
