This Big!

As in the scale of the task in responding to another tender - hoping this one won't be cancelled. Having written creatively for many years now it's a shock to the system to have to write so formally and in such a prescribed way.

A lunchtime break to take a run in Roundhay Park, including some strides to loosen the legs up. Then an evening break to watch 'A Complete Unknown'. It was even better than I expected. Hearing Dylan's songs, in the film sometimes being played live for the first time, literally gave me the chills, as if I was hearing them for the first time myself. Timothée Chalamet's performance was utterly extraordinary, not just in playing the guitar and singing the songs himself, but in the way he captured Dylan's journey to becoming something of a jerk. Never before have I seen the onset of fame depicted so brutally. Who would ever want that? I don't think I've ever appreciated his genius more either. An astonishing film. Go catch it at the cinema while you can.
