Sourdough, after a long pause...

It's maybe 4 months since I last baked a real sourdough loaf but I was inspired by apphoto's blip on the 23rd January.
This was the result. The slightly dangerous cutter also in the photo was a gift from another friend who bakes, and this was its first outing. It created the rather nice pattern. The bread looks good but the loaf  was actually a little bit flat. It tasted delicious though, so I'm very happy with this first sourdough in a few months.
Filmstudio today was showing "My Favourite Cake", an Iranian film about
"A charming portrayal of a 70-year-old Iranian's appetite for romance" to quote Peter Bradshaw's 5/5 Guardian review. The Iranian government's unfavourable attitude to romance means the two directors, Maryam Moghaddam and Behtash Sanaeeha, couldn't come to the opening and have been prevented from leaving Iran.
