Janda Baik day 2, eat, play, eat

Janda Baik means 'return of the divorcée' in BM, very apt.

I slept so well. When I checked later my resting heartbeat had been down to 49.

Today was doing not very much, interspersed with some activity. Breakfast, pancakes, fruit and cream; lunch 'CNY in a bowl' (prosperity herbal rice and Chinese sausages), dinner a BBQ. In between were copious snacks. Amelia was in instructor mode today- earlier teaching archery and later showing PoPo how to toast marshmallows.

The weather was better today, a bit warmer and later the cloud lifted and the sun came out before it came down again and the damp returned. Having 75% of the Wens here and a Mum I had very little to do.

I went for a walk and saw monkeys, played some card games with the kids and WH and later a very long, unfinished, game of Monopoly with WH and Eryi. When the sun came out there was more archery and the girls were on the trampoline.

After lunch we had cake for KF's 70th, the main reason for this trip. #1 son did a great job on the BBQ and then the fireworks which we finished with a big box bang just before 10.

When the cloud lifted there was a view from the roof across to Genting. A different aspect from the one I normally get. Though why would anyone want to build 3 tower blocks on top of a hill in the jungle.

Conversation is difficult. WH's parents are really only comfortable in Chinese. I have none.
