Let It Rain . . . Amanda Marshall

Jen and I decided to meet and see what the weather was like.  We have cancelled before and then the rain pauses and we could have walked.  It was still heavy at 10 o'clock so we had coffee first and after an hour of talk we could set off.  We didn't even discuss which way to go and just automatically walked to the marina.  The tide was in and the Maitai River seemed high to me.  I couldn't get the exposure right but too bad.  I was under the road bridge.  The graffiti says Enjoy your walk.  We did.  
It was an interesting series of comments about the neighbours roof.  Two blippers from England mentioned it wasn't common to paint a roof there.  I don't know why we do, maybe it's the harsh UV.  The timing was perfect getting it finished yesterday before todays rain.  
I am blipping a little earlier today because I have to get packed for a week away.  We are doing another 4 wheel drive trip.  It was so enjoyable when we did one in March 2024 that we booked another one in a different area.  Tomorrow we will drive south to Lake Ohau which is a bit further on from Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo which some of you will have visited.
