Legoland!
Great excitement with a trip today to Legoland.
My highlight is definitely the incredibly intricate reproductions of London and other cities round the world - including some fun little extras like Lego police beating up hippies at Stonehenge and (if you look closely) a streaker on the pitch at Wembley!
However, kids these days (sign) seem to go straight to the rides - with all the nonsense of long queues whilst being 'tempted' by junk food or the Ryan-Air style choice of paying even more to jump the queue, as if we hadn't forked out enough already - grrr!
But in fact the events without queues were the best - a sweet Duplo fairytale boatride, a puppet storytelling session, 4D cinema (that's 3D glasses plus the extra dimension of getting wet and windy!).
And best of all was the most traditional - a good, old-fashioned carousel - the most simple ride of the day brought the biggest smiles and the most joy. A lesson there for all of us I suspect!
