Logs
By the time the tree surgeons finished yesterday, it was nearly dark. There were 9 men working, with 2 cherry pickers, a tractor and trailer, half a dozen chain saws, and 2 shredders. They were obviously on a mission to finish as much as they could. They were hard workers, as neat and tidy as you can be when chopping down trees, and considerate. We have several piles of logs like this one, cut into manageable lengths and piled up near our hydraulic log splitter and wood store (you can tell that MrHCB takes his logs seriously). They will be back in the spring to reshape "my tree" in the middle of the lawn, which is starting to lean across the house.
