I walk Cornwall

For those of you who read our Blips regularly................ you will know that my human likes us to have little projects to work towards. Our project for 2025 is to walk 100 of the 'I walk Cornwall' walks. This is a bit of an ambitious project because Ann works 4 days a week, which only leaves 3 days a week for us to complete our challenge and sometimes Ann has other things to do!!

Yesterday afternoon Ann went 'Gin tasting' and then out for an early dinner (and it was also chucking it down with rain) so we didn't have time to do an, 'I walk Cornwall', walk. Today Ann had to go to Carbis Bay to pick up her car from her friend's house, so she said, 'Trixie, let's walk to Lelant and then walk back to Carbis Bay.' That meant that we were doing the 'Lelant to St Ives' walk (in reverse) and then the 'Lelant to Carbis Bay' walk as well.

We walked for almost 7.5 miles and have added another two walks onto our list. Yay! Unfortunately it was incredibly muddy on parts of the walk so Ann's trainers & jeans ended up filthy and I ended up with very dirty paws. But hey ho, we don't care. It's all part of the challenge and it's been such a lovely day, it could almost have been summer. Lol!

And in other news........................ mini rant coming up!!!..................

We had a new electric meter fitted in our Edinburgh flat on 18th November 2024 because EDF told us that our meter used the 'Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS)' which will soon be switched off. For some reason the 'smart meter' bit of it wasn't working so wasn't sending our meter readings through to EDF. The person who fitted the meter said that the 'tech guys' would sort it out remotely within 2/3 weeks. Ann phoned EDF on the 29th Nov 2024 to ask what was happening and she changed our DD to £100pm because we'd been there for most of November and didn't want to have a huge bill once they eventually sorted it out. …..........They still haven't sorted it out?!!!! Grrrrrrr.......... if we had a working smart meter, they could at least see that we weren't there using any electricity because absolutely everything is turned off.


'Foreign person' that Ann couldn't really understand, no this isn't a racist comment, it's a fact! said he would 'escalate' the problem and would get back to her. Mmmmmmm................. Can't see that happening, so Ann's made a note in her diary to phone them again next week.
