Snug Bug
We last visited Goodnestone Park in November 2023. My best memory, apart from the gorgeous cafe where Jak gets his own sausage, was the golden grasses and many ladybirds. It seemed late in the year for them but had been unseasonably warm.
I had to see the grasses again but certainly didn't expect ladybirds and yet here they were! I have taken an almost identical shot but I simply cannot resist them. I have made the scientific discovery that the fluffy grass attracts the ladybirds because it is warm and cosy. When the sun goes down, they can simply wrap the fluff around themselves and smile contentedly.
We also saw an enormous bee! This bit of sunshine has definitely brought out the insects.
