Broken spectre

Up early to pick up pals for a day in the hills.

Headed south West.

First hill made easier due to a heavy frost making the boggy ground solid. As we ascended the summit gathered some cloud, which disappointed us but on reaching the large cairn with a low sun we created a broken spectre. This was my 900th marilyn so we celebrated with pickled herring and bread.

Next hill was a building site with new turbines being built. Good road all the way and we headed to open ground when traffic heavy. Summit still gas a trig but excavated peat towers over it with a massive hole behind.

On way down we chatted to some turbine men under a massive 75m toothed turbine blade(see extra) as 2 blades made their way up the summit of the hill. Impressive operation.

Tea/coffee and scone break at a bakery. Superb treacle scone. Stupidly left my favourite jumper so called and they have it so pick up later.

Coaching u8s tonight. Good session on dribbling, lots of running around and tired girls.

Dog walk awaits.
