Paperbark Maple

What a wonderful tree: the Paperbark Maple. I have walked past this tree many a time, but it'll unusual bark never struck me before. It might have been the way the sunlight shone on it, but it was really striking. 
I'm delighted to see that the Crichton grounds did not suffer too much damage during the storm a week ago
