Tantallon
Great beach walk today. North Berwick to Seacliffe - via Tantallon Castle.
It’s a tricky route, only achievable at low tide. We started a bit later than planned and just missed the tide. This meant when we tried scrambling round one section the sea had got too high and we came to a full stop. So we had to head back a little way and scramble up a grassy path to skirt round the top of the cliffs. But the bonus was that we were able to have a detour into Tantallon castle for a look round.
Our final stop was just above the little harbour at Seacliffe for a picnic lunch, and then walk back round to NB for a cuppa in the campervan.
