Hawk!

I spotted this guy chasing a couple of starlings thru my yard this morning. A sharp shinned hawk. The starlings got away, the hawk landed in the tree and sat there looking around for a few minutes.
After a busy day yesterday at the feeders, only the starlings were around this morning. A couple of gold finches, a couple of chickadees and the down woodpecker pair were around this afternoon for a short time. The northern flicker stopped by too.
The only time I left the house today was to go out this morning to fill the bird feeders. It was sunny but cold. The temperature was -10 C this afternoon and with the wind it felt like -20 C.
I spent the day doing some house cleaning, working on a jigsaw puzzle, and I finished a garden design for a customer, just have to send him the price now.
Back to work tomorrow, and it is on the opposite side of the city from where I live. More snow/rain in the forecast too, about 5 cm of snow. Just enough to make the roads messy. I messaged Tara this morning and told her that I want to leave the store by 3 pm, so I make sure I get home before dark. Then the temperature drops again on Friday night. I am hoping the sidewalks and streets are well salted by Saturday morning. The Ice Sculpture Festival is on this weekend.
