A Thorn Between 2 Roses

Lunch with Al and Shelley (Naturelover on Blip) at Culvers, then some card-playing at their house.

I thought about white-lying and telling my fellow blippers that I won both games of Five Crowns in spectacular come-from-behind fashion...but it didn't happen. Shelley won the first game and Al won the second. 

I felt pretty good today. A doctor's office visit, lunch, cards, grocery shopping, and then dinner prepared. I attempted to make hushpuppies, a southern cornmeal appetizer, but...just like my card playing...they were not good. I have several  different recipes gathered on my Pinterest page (please don't tell anybody I have a Pinterest page!), but this one is not going to make the cut. Those puppies are going to be hushed!

Al volunteered to take the picture, which was a little surprising because he usually loves to be in the picture. Thanks Al.
