Kien Trung Palace, Huế, Vietnam

Whoosh!  What a day!  An eight-hour high speed slog through the wonders of Huế at the height of Tet with throngs and throngs of visitors and a turbocharged guide who took no prisoners!

This is a portion of the Kien Trung Palace -- encrusted with all sorts of fantastical ceramic decorations.  Amazing.  We also whizzed by many dragon-infested pagodas/temples/gates/shrines, all beautiful.

Eight hours later we returned, exhausted, sweaty, and desperate for a glass of well-deserved wine to the ship!

Extras:  One of the many beautiful Vietnamese ladies we saw today, so elegantly clothed in traditional garb.  Just lovely!  And the awesome dragon boats we rode on to our luncheon on the shores of the Perfume River.
