Taxing

I was so pleased with myself the other day being all organised, calling HMRC and filling out the form he told me to fill out to register for self-assessment.
When a brown envelope dropped into the mat this morning I assumed it was my UTR code and I could get cracking with the actual self-assessment. Before January 31st.
But no. It was a letter thanking me for the form I submitted, but it’s the wrong form. Could I fill out, print and send another form and then they might consider processing my application.
Despite them telling me what chuffing form to send in the first place. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!
The most galling thing is that I’ll have no tax to pay but potentially now a fine for late submission!!
Anyway. I filled out the correct form (possibly!) and got it off in the post today.
We’ll see!!!
