Got bike as present from husband a long time ago. We had a Dalmatian at the time (Indy) and I had several tries to get him to run alongside on the lead. Unfortunately he kept swerving in front of me so I gave up while we were both in one piece. His real name was Indiana Jones and choosing what to call him kept the kids occupied for many hours on our return from holiday about 25 years ago.

My daughter has a very sociable mini Schnauzer and I thought FletcherHere might like to sit in the basket on a blanket and go for a spin, but no, she preferred to bark wildly at Lily, the dog next door!

Meant to go for a ride today but ended up being distracted by cooking, ironing and listening to the Martin Beck play on Radio 4 . I've read all the books - recommended if you like Scandinavian police procedure novels - written by husband and wife team Maj Sjöwall and PerWahlöö.
