Cherry Ripe!

I love cherries but don't buy them too often - a bit pricey! In the 1990's my sister and I were on holiday in Switzerland. We stayed with some old family friends in their flat not too far from Zurich. One of the many memories I have of that holiday is watching the cherry pickers climbing their ladders and filling basket after basket with the most fabulous dark red cherries. When our host came in at lunchtime his lunch was a very large bowl of cherries. He never seemed to tire of them.
