Widows and Bairns
Had a walk by the river and planned to get coffee at the place we used yesterday but no tables so we got bread, pastries and a couple of takeaway coffees and headed back to camper.
Moved to St. Abbs and stopped for lunch in Eyemouth. Lovely walk along beach to harbour and beyond. Lots of boats coming in, seal in the harbour and then on way back to camper spotted a brilliant statue.
Bronze, representing the wives and children of the fishermen that lost their lives in 1881 in a great storm.
The majority of those lost came from Eyemouth.
The site is a small five van farm site, very tidy and the owner came to our door for payment in cash, so nice.
